Beth Randall was the production manager of Theater in the Open in Newburyport for eight years and worked there as an actor, teacher, director and writer since the 1990s. More recently, she has gotten a chance to expand and work with some of the other amazing theater groups in the area including playing a troubadour in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the court reporter in The Trial of Mr. Stone and participation in The Short Play Festival, all at The Actor’s Studio of Newburyport. Her first experience on the Firehouse stage came in 1993, in Theater in the Open’s The Snow Queen. More recent roles at the Firehouse include playing Mariah in Twelfth Night, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest, Jess in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] and Cassandra in Vanya, Sonia, Masha and Spike. When not performing, she enjoys teaching Writing and Language Arts at The Learning Outpost in Newburyport.
