Random Acts 17’ish – via ZOOM

Random Acts 17-ish takes to the inter-webs on Saturday, July 18, at 8:00 p.m. in this new take on a well-loved classic, everyone will participate from the safety and comfort of their homes.

Playwrights, actors, and directors have already signed on to this first-ever virtual venture. Playwrights will “meet” on Friday, July 17, to be randomly paired and tasked with writing a total of 7 five-minute plays. On Saturday morning, actors and directors will be randomly matched with the playwrights’ new works. Rehearsals will take place throughout the day on Saturday for the Saturday evening performance. One show only!

Registration for audience members is now open –  but you’ll need Zoom capability to “attend” the event.  There’s a suggested donation of $15 but only if you are able – we’ll be so happy to have you in the audience.  All proceeds will benefit The Actors Studio of Newburyport.
