An Acting Intensive Workshop, with Jill Scholelen

A two-day intensive workshop: The Art and Business of Acting

Jill works with actors, and others in the entertainment business, to support them LIVING THEIR DREAM. In the workshop Jill will guide you one-on-one in a selected scene handpicked for you and your scene partner. You will be exploring the depths of humanity with acting in an organic and truthful way. The goal is not to "act" but instead, to have an experience. Our work will focus on bringing the organic spontaneous acting experience, into a real working environment. Jill explores with the actors the nuance needed for working in front of the camera and for auditions, while the actor's talent resources remain fully operative. We will address how these techniques apply in every acting medium - TV, film and stage.
The workshop covers preparation, techniques for script reading, awareness about our voice and body, importance of understanding the story, auditioning, memorization techniques that best serve spontaneity in acting, understanding the casting process, use of social media. Focus will be on spontaneity and truthfulness in acting, taking direction, and the importance of recovery after acting.
Jill Schoelen brings her vast experience of the entertainment industry to this master class for actors. In this two day intensive Jill will inspire participants to reach beyond their own expectations to find the richness and depth that each possesses.
